Needed to train doctors, surgeons, nurses and medical professionals globally on life saving techniques where there is a shortage of blood or blood substitutes whether in the operating room or on the battle field. At the same time address the blood shortage, transfusion related infections, and reduce hospital expenditures on blood and blood substitutes.

Consulting Services

Created a global online platform to instruct medical professionals worldwide on surgical techniques and hospital procedures to address the growing blood shortage. Designed, developed the requirements, developed the eLearning platform, provided the production oversight and project management. Oversaw the media and course creation from 20+ medical professionals worldwide. Assisted in ascertaining the private funding. Created the implementation plan in the areas of operations, marketing, sales, technology and finance to support this global healthcare initiative.

Outcomes

Completed the online institution ontime and under budget. Red Cross and other leading institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, Duke and Vanderbilt utilize the platform to better manage blood supplies and reduce costs.
